I've been trying to explain what Docker actually is to clients, partners and small children (I’m available for birthday parties. Other entertainment - a food-fight about micro-services). The answer like most things is both simple and complex, and so here we are. Reading this.

It's 2015 and it seems that the pace of innovation around languages, tooling, hosting and all that jazz continues to accelerate. I thought it would be a good time to take stock of what we're using and how we are building stuff.
